ANKARA – MUSTAFA KEMAL ATATÜRK (1881 – 1938)

The first 0 euro souvenir banknote edition for Turkey featuring 'the father of the nation' Mustafa Kemal Atatürk. The banknote which had a limited edition of only 5000 pieces received a lot of publicity and prices went up like a comet. In February 2019, two TUAA banknotes bearing the year of birth and the year of passing away were both sold for 660 euro each. The banknote portrays Mustafa Kemal Atatürk as the general and beneath him is the Anitkabir mausoleum.  Limited edition: 10.000 pieces. Design: Christian David Petermann.
