1922/1 Overdate Threepence George V Extremely Scarce and Rare!
The 1922/1 overdate is the rarest silver pre-decimal coin issued for circulation. An estimate of only 900 have ever been minted making it more rare than the 1930 Penny which had approximately 3,000 coins minted. Very hard to find in higher grades as these were a weakly struck coin. They can sell in higher grades from $25,000 to over $125K. The 1922/1 overdate Threepence is truly an investment coin and we are very pleased to offer this rare and scarce coin for sale.
Condition: Reverse is in good fine with very clear overdate (the number 1 running through the number 2) and has full Advance Australia. The obverse is evenly worn with impressions in the top edge, with visible diamond and two pearls, very rare in this condition.
